Data Center Engineer

Job Summary
The Data Center Onsite Engineer is responsible for ensuring the stable and efficient operation of critical data center infrastructure, including power systems, cooling systems, rack infrastructure, access control systems, and identity and access management integrations. The role also involves managing monitoring and automation tools, event and alert management systems, and providing smart hands onsite support services.
Experience: 6–8 years
Responsibilities

1. Manage physical data center infrastructure including power cooling and rack systems
2. Monitor environmental and operational conditions continuously
3. Implement automation for monitoring and alerting
4. Detect and escalate operational incidents and events
5. Enforce access control aligned with identity and security policies
6. Maintain system administration procedures and compliance standards.
7. Provide onsite support including rack installation cabling and hardware handling
8. Perform preventive maintenance to ensure reliability and operational continuity

Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
2. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Linux/Windows operating systems, routing, switching, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Ansible or Terraform.
3. Certifications: Industry-standard credentials such as CCNA/CCNP (Cisco), CompTIA Server+, or AWS/Azure certifications are heavily preferred.
